Do you long for time to spend with Jesus? Have you found yourself needing a hug from your husband, so you feel wanted? Do you feel guilty wishing there was more to your life than wiping noses and doing dishes? Are you drowning in the responsibilities of just being Mom? Do you wonder why your pre-mom routines are no longer working?
I am so excited that you are here! This podcast will help find peace with the time you do have, start rebuilding routines you need to stay sane, invite you to see yourself how God sees you, and find joy in motherhood.
Hi, I’m Cheryl! Wife, SAHM of two girls, Mom Mentor and Jesus follower. For years, I struggled to fit myself into the same routines, spiritual habits and identity I had as a newly married woman.
I was frustrated, discouraged and depressed when all I felt at the end of the day was worthless because I couldn’t accomplish all the things I used to be able to do.
I finally realized in trying to meet everyone’s needs except my own, I had forgotten who I was and, if I was going to have any joy in motherhood, I had to discover who I had become.
I had to rediscover my identity, prioritize my mental, spiritual, and even physical health so I could be the mom my girls needed.
If you’re ready to ditch the mom guilt for peace, find Jesus in the middle of the dishes, and love yourself like your babies do, this podcast is for you.
Grab your ear pods and start folding laundry, this is Time for Mom.

Do you struggle to prioritize prayer in your daily routines because mom life feels loud, chaotic, and nonstop?
Have you felt mom guilt or comparison creeping in when your prayers look more like silent groans, quick scribbles, or whispered words over dishes and laundry?
Are you questioning your self‑worth as a SAHM because you think your prayers aren’t “good enough,” even though Scripture says the Holy Spirit intercedes for you when words fail?
If so, you’re in the right place.
Hi, Beautiful! I’m Cheryl — wife, SAHM, Coach and Mom Mentor. I learned the not‑so‑secret ways to become the mom my girls needed by prioritizing Jesus, building simple routines that supported my priorities, rejecting mom guilt, and discovering what self‑esteem and self‑worth really look like in everyday motherhood. In Time for Mom, we have honest conversations about comparison, practical devotional moments, and encouragement you can tuck into the cracks of your day. If you’re ready to build faith while washing dishes, rediscover your identity, and love yourself the way your babies already do — grab your earbuds and lock the bathroom door for a minute alone. It’s Time for Mom.
In this episode, I’m sharing how to build real, sustainable prayer rhythms into your loud, chaotic mom life so you can reconnect with God without needing silence, solitude, or perfection.
God meets exhausted SAHMs in the noise, prayer doesn’t require silence.
Simple prayer habits—silent, written, or whispered—help moms rebuild their faith even on chaotic days.
Daily routines like dishes, laundry, and school pickups become built‑in prayer rhythms for overwhelmed moms
When words fail, the Holy Spirit intercedes for moms with groanings deeper than language.
Letting kids see you pray shapes their faith and normalizes real, imperfect connection with God.
Prayer as a mom isn’t about eloquence or solitude—it's about starting with whatever capacity you have today.

Do you ever feel like your SAHM routines are wearing you down faster than motherhood itself?
Have you caught yourself comparing your capacity to another mom’s and then spiraling into mom guilt because your priorities don’t look like hers?
Are you protecting everything except the parts of you that build self-esteem — and wondering why you feel exhausted even when you’re doing “all the right things”?
If so, you’re in the right place.
Hi, Beautiful! I’m Cheryl — wife, SAHM, Coach and Mom Mentor. It’s Time for Mom.
In this episode, we talk about why motherhood can feel like walking on concrete — everything wears you down faster than you expect. Just like socks and shoes break down on rough ground, your daily life has smooth places and rough places that thin you out. Some seasons feel gentle. Others scrape you raw. And if you don’t know how to protect your capacity, you burn out long before you realize what’s happening.
Life wears you down like concrete — even the good parts.
Some seasons rub you thin fast.
You can’t avoid burnout without real rest.
Knowing your limits keeps you whole.
Your wear pattern is unique — stop comparing.
Protect what matters most or you’ll wear out faster.

Do you let your kids, friends, family and external influences reshape your routines and priorities in ways that pull you and your husband apart instead of keeping your marriage healthy and connected?
Have you checked in with your husband lately — really checked in — or have you been giving the “easy” answers instead of the honest ones?
Are you proactive in your marriage or has SAHM life led you into complacency?
If so, you’re in the right place.
Hi, Beautiful! I’m Cheryl — wife, SAHM, Coach and Mom Mentor. I learned the not‑so‑secret ways to become the mom my girls needed by prioritizing Jesus, building simple routines that supported my priorities, rejecting mom guilt, and discovering what self‑esteem and self‑worth really look like in everyday motherhood. If you’re ready to build faith while washing dishes, rediscover your identity, and love yourself the way your babies already do — grab your earbuds and lock the bathroom door for a minute alone. It’s Time for Mom.
In this episode, I’m sharing the small, consistent ways you can fight for your marriage every day so you can stay connected, stay united, and keep anything that tries to wedge itself between you and your husband from taking root.
Conversation Check‑In Questions for Your Marriage:
“Are we in a healthy place or are we feeling distanced from each other?”
“When was the last time I kissed my husband?”
“When was the last time I told him I thought he was handsome?”
“When was the last time I told him that I appreciated him because of who he is?”
“When my husband asks me something, am I being honest with him or giving the answer I think he wants?”
“Is there anything you think needs worked on in our marriage?”
Key Takeaways:
>Small, consistent actions protect your marriage more than big, dramatic fixes — daily choices keep distance from creeping in.
>Marriage only has room for three: you, your husband, and God.
>Communication is the heartbeat of a healthy marriage.
>Respect is a healing posture, even in conflict — a gentle answer deflects anger and opens the door to healthy conversations.
>Money is one of the loudest threats to marriage.
>Work is good, but it cannot become the #1 priority.
>Family influence must be balanced with marital unity.
>Fight for your marriage, not against your husband. Unite with the Lord and let Him fight on your behalf.

Do you ever feel so calloused or exhausted that you’ve forgotten the wonder God is trying to show you through your kids?
Have you realized that the things your kids pull you into — the wonder, the discomfort, the newness — might be the very places God is trying to soften your heart again?
Are you so deep in the frustration and noise of motherhood that you’re missing the gift God is trying to give you through this season?
In this episode, I’m sharing how motherhood lets you see life through a completely new lens so you can rediscover wonder, find purpose in the hard moments, and remember that God is shaping you just as much as you’re shaping your kids.
Motherhood makes the world new again — God uses our kids to reopen our eyes to beauty, wonder, and the miracles we’ve grown numb to.
Comparison steals joy and dulls wonder — but seeing life through your children restores your self‑worth and softens the calloused parts of adulthood.
Motherhood is a second chance — a chance to rewrite routines, priorities, and generational patterns with intention and faith.
Kids pull us out of our comfort zones — helping us experience things we’d never choose but desperately need for growth and healing.
Motherhood reveals the “why” behind our parents’ choices — giving us compassion, clarity, and a deeper understanding of family legacy.
This season is hard, holy, and refining — God uses motherhood to shape you just as much as you shape your children.
You’re not failing — you’re being formed — even when you’re exhausted, overwhelmed, or tempted to give up.
Don’t stop fighting for connection — keep trying new routines, new approaches, and new rhythms until you find what brings peace instead of friction.
Motherhood is a gift even when it feels maddening — God is present in the frustration, the stretching, and the moments that break you open.

Do you ever catch yourself speaking about your body or your worth in ways that would break your heart if your kids said the same things about themselves?
Have you embraced self-criticism instead of being thankful of the worth God has for you?
Are you noticing the moments where you treat yourself as less valuable than the women you serve, love, or admire — even though Scripture says you were created with the same intentionality and beauty?
If so, you’re in the right place.
Hi, Beautiful! I’m Cheryl — wife, SAHM, Coach and Mom Mentor. I learned the not‑so‑secret ways to become the mom my girls needed by prioritizing Jesus, building simple routines that supported my priorities, rejecting mom guilt, and discovering what self‑esteem and self‑worth really look like in everyday motherhood. It’s Time for Mom.
In this episode, I’m sharing how God reshapes our self‑esteem and identity through Scripture so you can finally see yourself the way He sees you — with truth, grace, and the kind of love you freely give everyone else.
Loving your neighbor starts with learning to love yourself the way God intended — with grace, not self‑criticism.
Humility isn’t self‑deprecation; it’s shifting your focus outward while honoring God’s workmanship in you.
Speaking harshly about yourself contradicts God’s truth about who He created you to be.
Your body is a God‑designed vessel — purposeful, capable, and worthy of care.
You were created intentionally, beautifully, and for God’s glory — nothing about you is accidental.

Have you ever looked at your friends, family, or even a stranger and wonder how they are able do all the things you want to do?
Are you wishing your home looked like your friends?
Do you wish you could trade homes and lives with someone else because they seem to have the life you want?
If so, you’re in the right place.
Hi, Beautiful! I’m Cheryl — wife, SAHM, Coach and Mom Mentor. In this episode, I’m sharing 4 ways to fight comparison so you can appreciate your mom life without wishing you could escape motherhood.
Lean into how God wired you — not anger or frustration, but the character He placed in you to serve your family well.
Redirect your attention when comparison creeps in; their life is never what it seems from the outside.
If something isn’t working, release it — just like a broken toy that’s no longer serving its purpose.
Finding what works for you takes time, prayer, and patience.

Do you ever look at your SAHM routines and wonder if the “little things” you do actually matter — especially as comparison starts to whisper that your impact should look bigger?
Have you wondered whether anything of the seeds you’re planting in your kids is sinking in?
Are you carrying quiet shame over being “ordinary,” forgetting that God sees the unseen, everyday acts of kindness and obedience as you serve your family?
If so, you’re in the right place.
Hi, Beautiful! I’m Cheryl — wife, SAHM, Coach and Mom Mentor. n this episode, I’m sharing how the small, ordinary things you do as a mom make an impact, so you can stop questioning your worth and start seeing how God is using your everyday acts of faithfulness to grow something beautiful in your home and your family.
Small acts of love matter more than big moments.
Ordinary motherhood carries Kingdom impact — kindness, service, generosity, and presence are the real “epic deeds” that push back darkness in everyday life.
Jesus modeled humble, unseen service — He came as an unassuming servant, showing that greatness is found in obedience, not applause.
Your daily work is worship — Scripture reminds moms that doing small tasks with excellence brings praise to God and carries eternal value.
Seeds are growing even when you don’t see fruit.
Don’t give up in the little things.

Do you feeling guilty with how you are a mother? Like no matter what you do, you should be doing something else?
Have you been carrying mom guilt so long that it’s started to shape your priorities, your self‑esteem, and the way you see your own self‑worth?
Are you constantly comparing yourself to other moms and wonder if you’re somehow doing motherhood “wrong” because you can't be "that mom"?
If so, you’re in the right place.
Today, we have a super special guest, the amazing and fabulous Sandy Cooper!
Sandy Cooper is an award-winning author of three books, a student of the Bible, and a professionally certified plant-based home chef. She has been married to Jon for over 32 years and is mom to three young adults, a son-in-law, and a nine-month-old son in Heaven.
She has been helping frazzled moms find peace since 2008 at thescooponbalance.com and is the co-founder of Writing Off Social, where she helps female Christian writers grow their audience without social media.
Sandy is the host of The Balanced MomCast, the cohost of Writing Off Social: The Podcast. She writes at Behind the Balance on Substack, from her home office in Florida, where she lives with her family (and the ocean).
Key Takeaways:
Social media comparison sets moms up to feel like they’re doing motherhood wrong.
Mom guilt isn’t permanent — you grow, mature, and learn your way out of it.
Feeling like you should always be doing something else is a sign of overwhelm, not failure.
Embrace the kind of mom you are — chaos-loving or order-loving — without guilt.
Nothing could have fully prepared you for the challenges of motherhood.
If you had known every challenge ahead of time, you might have hesitated — but God knew you were the right mom.
God hand‑selected you for your child and equips you for every challenge.
You are the exact right mom for your child, no matter what you’re facing.
When you feel like you’re failing, speak to yourself with the same kindness you’d give a friend.
Great parenting cannot remove struggle from your child’s life — struggle grows resilience.
Your perfection will not produce perfect kids.
Self‑control is a fruit of the Spirit, and you have access to it because Jesus lives in you.
Self‑control is a muscle — the more you use it, the stronger it becomes.
You grow stronger every time you exercise the power God placed within you.
Apologize early and often — humility transforms relationships.
A good mom knows she is flawed and leads with honesty and humility.

Do your routines fall apart because you’re trying to “correct” everything around you instead of letting God lead?
Have you caught yourself stepping into a role that isn’t yours — as a SAHM or even a believer?
Are you struggling to keep your priorities rooted in love when discouragement, control, or perfectionism seem like the best thing in the moment but leave you filled with guilt instead of peace?
If so, you’re in the right place.

In this episode, I’m sharing how easily our correction can slip from love into control, so you can recognize the motives behind your reactions and begin responding with the kind of grace, patience, and Holy‑Spirit‑led love that actually builds relationships.
Correction without love becomes control, damaging connection and growth — whether between siblings or believers.
Love-led guidance creates room for choices, teamwork, and spiritual maturity, unlike rigid, controlling correction.
Christians harm more than they help when correction starts from confrontation instead of compassion, sowing division instead of unity.
Different convictions aren’t wrong — obedience to God is the standard, not legalism or personal preference.
Our calling is to protect, encourage, and build up weaker believers, guarding their conscience rather than flaunting our freedom.
If correction isn’t rooted in love, silence and prayer may be the best response, letting the Holy Spirit do His work.
