Time for Mom | Self-Esteem, Routines, Mom Guilt, Priorities, Comparison, Devotional, Self-Worth

***Top 2.5% Globally Ranked Podcast***

Do you long for time to spend with Jesus? Have you found yourself needing a hug from your husband, so you feel wanted? Do you feel guilty wishing there was more to your life than wiping noses and doing dishes? Are you drowning in the responsibilities of just being Mom? Do you wonder why your pre-mom routines are no longer working?

I am so excited that you are here! This podcast will help find peace with the time you do have, start rebuilding routines you need to stay sane, invite you to see yourself how God sees you, and find joy in motherhood.
Hi, I’m Cheryl! Wife, SAHM of two girls, Mom Mentor and Jesus follower. For years, I struggled to fit myself into the same routines, spiritual habits and identity I had as a newly married woman.
I was frustrated, discouraged and depressed when all I felt at the end of the day was worthless because I couldn’t accomplish all the things I used to be able to do.
I finally realized in trying to meet everyone’s needs except my own, I had forgotten who I was and, if I was going to have any joy in motherhood, I had to discover who I had become.
I had to rediscover my identity, prioritize my mental, spiritual, and even physical health so I could be the mom my girls needed.
If you’re ready to ditch the mom guilt for peace, find Jesus in the middle of the dishes, and love yourself like your babies do, this podcast is for you.
Grab your ear pods and start folding laundry, this is Time for Mom.

Have you ever been afraid to pray?
Has your fear of God's answer ever paralyzed your prayers in your throat?
Have you been afraid God would bring the very thing you are praying against to pass?
Have you thought that if you relinquished control and surrendered something to God then, of course, He was going to take it away?
You aren’t alone. I have struggled with all these thoughts and so many more.
Hi Beautiful, I’m Cheryl — wife, girl mom, aspiring SAHM, and Jesus follower. I learned the not-so-secret ways to become the mom my girls needed by prioritizing Jesus, finding routines that worked, rejecting mom guilt when I failed, and learning what self‑esteem really is. This podcast is for moms who want Biblical encouragement and real‑life devotions. If you’re ready to build faith while washing dishes, become the mom you hoped you’d be, and love yourself the way your babies do — grab your earbuds and lock the bathroom door for a minute alone. It’s Time for Mom.
In this episode, I’m sharing a time when I didn't want to pray because of fear, shame and guilt so you can find God's faithfulness in our failures.
Fear can make prayer feel dangerous, especially when we’re afraid of God’s answer.
God is a Good Father who gives good gifts, even when His answers stretch our trust.
Suffering shapes families, but we choose whether it makes us bitter or draws us closer to God.
God listens to imperfect, fear‑filled prayers and still works for our good.
Trust grows when we surrender what we can’t control and ask God to help our unbelief.
Starting February 1, I’m launching a live monthly Q&A for premium Substack members — If you are a mom who feels alone, overwhelmed, and just want someone to come alongside them, this space is for you.

Does motherhood feel like it’s derailed your priorities and canceled your calling?
Are you stuck in routines that make you wonder How God could use this season of wiping butts for anything meaningful?
Do you ever feel guilty for wasting time even though your whole day is spent serving your family?
If so, you’re in the right place.
If you’re ready to build faith while washing dishes, become the mom you hoped you’d be, and love yourself the way your babies do — grab your earbuds and lock the bathroom door for a minute alone. It’s Time for Mom.
In this episode, I’m sharing how God is using a 20-year-old mistake so you can be encouraged when you look back on your past.
Nothing you walk through is wasted. God uses every season, even the messy ones, to shape you.
Your mistakes and wasted time don't limit what you can do now and in the future.
Your mistakes and wasted time don’t disqualify you. They often become the very tools God uses to equip you.
Growth takes time.
Running from or ignoring your calling doesn’t cancel it.
SAHM life is exhausting, and the routines can feel endless, but this season can grow you in ways nothing else can — stretching your patience, your priorities, redefining your self‑esteem, and your dependence on God.
Motherhood isn’t undoing you; it’s refining you. God is using even the emotional cliffs and chaotic days to build strength, wisdom, and compassion in you.

Are you exhausted from trying to keep up with the constant change, of mom life?
Do you ever get so overwhelmed by the “trees” in your life that you forget there is life outside of your problems?
Have you found yourself grieving old routines and seasons that it is impossible to find anything good in your current circumstances?
If so, you’re in the right place.
Hi Beautiful, I’m Cheryl — wife, girl mom, aspiring SAHM, and Jesus follower. It’s Time for Mom.
In this episode, I’m sharing the slow journey of navigating big changes so you can find hope and peace as you navigate those rapid changes of SAHM life.
Big life changes can make us lose sight of the bigger picture.
Focusing only on what’s hard blinds us to the good still in front of us.
Every season has purpose, even the overwhelming ones.
Survival-mode moments deepen our dependence on God.
God is with us while we are slogging through the forest.

Do you ever see your kids’ behavior and suddenly realize, “That’s exactly what I do to God”?
Have you been rejected by your child and wondered if that’s how God still loves us when we push Him away?
Are you carrying guilt because motherhood keeps exposing the parts of you God is still gently shaping?
If so, you’re in the right place.
Hi Beautiful, I’m Cheryl — wife, girl mom, aspiring SAHM, and Jesus follower. It’s Time for Mom.
In this episode, I’m sharing how Motherhood became a Spiritual classroom so you can start growing with your kids.
1. Motherhood reveals how often we fight God just like our kids fight us.
2. Seeing the love of God sprouting in your kids teaches you about grace.
3. Your child’s “I don’t like you” moments help you understand God’s unconditional love.
4. There is purpose in the struggle—for your kids and for you.
5. Your kids’ behavior becomes a living parable of your relationship with God.

Do your kids ask to do things that you don't want to, like dance in public?
Have you given into those cute little faces and surprised yourself by actually doing well?
What if God is asking you to step out and try new things?
If so, you’re in the right place.
Hi Beautiful, I’m Cheryl — wife, girl mom, aspiring SAHM, and Jesus follower. It’s Time for Mom.
In this episode, I’m sharing a devotion on how much trying to draw (not an artist!) has grown me spiritually so you can see those boundary stretching things in a new way.
Trying matters more than perfection — to your kids and to God.
Your children delight in your presence, not your skill level — and God delights in your obedience the same way.
You can do more than you think because God has already prepared good works for you (Ephesians 2:10).
Fear of failure keeps us stuck in old identities, but trying builds confidence and spiritual maturity.
When we stop trying, we miss out on discovering the gifts God has placed in us.

Do you struggle to control your emotions when your routines get ruined?

In this episode, I’m sharing 5 questions to ask yourself so you can step into becoming the mom you thought you could be with one small change at a time.
What has your year revealed?
What went well and you are thankful happened or you did?
What didn't go so well, and you'd like to change?
What is God nudging you towards?
Out of all you wrote down, ask God to bring one thing to the front for you to change and one thing for you to continue. Pick one specific thing to change to get you toward that goal.

On to today's episode!
In this episode, I’m sharing 6 ways to overcome that mommy burnout so you can start thriving in motherhood.
Adjust your expectations.
Keep trying.
Give yourself some grace. Your child is doing this life thing for the first time, and so are you. You are both going to mess up, and when you do, you have to try again.
You will need to nap too.
Take care of you. You are so important to your family, your husband and your kids. If you neglect yourself, eventually your physical mental and spiritual health will crumble. And when that happens, you won't be able to be a mom, you'll be a basket case.
Remember your marriage. Your kids need a father just as much as they need you. You need your spouse and he needs you.

On to today's episode!
In this episode, I’m sharing about lessons on habitual sins inspired from coughing fits so you can be encouraged to break free from those things that are causing guilt in your SAHM life.
Some truths about habitual sin:
Habitual sin will rob you of joy, peace, innocence, relationships, health.
Habitual sin breaks trust and causes a cascade of problems.
Habitual sin keeps you on edge. You're constantly on guard, trying to keep from being caught. Trying not to say the wrong thing or let on that you're doing whatever you're doing.
Your character will eventually start to be warped by the very thing you are hiding.
Sin gets so comfortable it seems like a snug, warm coat. Wrapped tight on a cold day and it's not until you get back inside that you realize what you thought was a snug, warm coat is a straitjacket that is robbing you of true freedom.
Sin is a robber, thief, and vandal. Sin vandalizes the beautiful parts of your spirit causing unerasable damage. You might repair it, but you're never going to be the same. Praise God that He works with imperfect people.
Here are five things that helped me in the fight against habitual sin.
Find an accountability partner or two or three! As many as you need.
Be rid of anything that you currently have that is helping you fall into sin. For some people this means actively avoiding specific places or people. For others this means filling the spaces with people who fill them with life.
Read the Bible as often as you can. Listen to it on your phone. Scripture is a powerful tool.
Pray. Any time you feel tempted, pray and reach out to those accountability partners so that they can join you in prayer. The power of prayer is compounded when you are joined by fellow believers.
Worship.

Are you tired of trying to make changes in your life and feeling guilty when they don't work?
Do you want to make routines that help you stick with your New Year's goal?
Is God nudging you to make some changes, you're ready to start, but you need some encouragement?
If so, you’re in the right place.
Hi Beautiful, I’m Cheryl — wife, girl mom, aspiring SAHM, and Jesus follower.
In this episode, I’m sharing 3 heart-check questions to ask so you can move forward with your New Year, New You goals with confidence.
Are your New Year's resolutions or current goals set by you or set by God?
What are your motives? What's the root of your decision?
What can you STOP doing? We are vessels with a limited capacity.
You don't have to do big changes to change your life. One small change, one choice, can change everything.
If you're wanting some help, I am hosting a Time for Mom breakthrough workshop at the end of January. We will walk through simple ways for you to find the time you've been searching for: time for God, your family, and even for yourself. Motherhood is exhausting and sometimes you just need a friend to talk things through. Go to https://bit.ly/timeformomworkshopto subscribe and get all the details before everyone else!
